︎Defining an interior space with floor, wall, and ceiling has always been an intuition. Still, caterpillars do not follow the same logic as they can move freely across all surfaces without seeing them as different types. With chair legs like limbs installed even to the back, Manifold’s new Eruca Chair features an unusual form similar to a caterpillar climbing up a wall. It is an invitation to consider a different approach to interior spaces by physically constructing the possible perspective of another species.
